Book Review #1

Twilight

By: Stephenie Meyer

Stephenie Meyer's first book has become a hit! The book has been on the bestseller list for months, the movie made the top 10 grossing movies at the box office of 2008. The book isn't just for young girls but it's also for men and women and people of all ages. Some men are ashamed to admit that they like the story of Bella and Edward, but the ones that aren't really seem to prove something to the rest of the world; they're comfortable in their masculinity to admit they like a teen romance.

Isabella Swan moves in with her father Charlie to the little town of Forks, Washington where the sun barely shines. Her first day of school everyone looks at her like she is the shiny new toy, except for one man.

Edward isn't your average man, he sparkles in the sunlight, feeds on animals, and hungers for Bella's blood. Yes you've guessed it Edward is a Vampire. You ask me, How does he sparkle in the sunlight? Aren't vampires "allergic" to the sun? In the eyes of Stephenie Meyer, vampires are allowed in the sun, but no in public. Once the sun hits them their skin starts to glitter like diamonds. Edward and his family are "vegetarians" that don't feed on humans, but instead on animals which is how they are able to stay in one place for a few years before they have to move on to somewhere else.

The story of Edward and Bella will make you want to fall in love with the story over and over again. Edward will become most women's prince charming. The tale of their love is much like Buffy and Angel's from Buffy the Vampire Slayer the television series, but with slight differences.

Get ready for a wild romance that will leave you coming back for more. Twilight is an excellent story for the young and old of all sexes. I give this book a 9 out of 10 stars.
